Does your colorist really have your best interests in mind?

So far my blogs have been well thought out, edited, time consuming, and well, really not my style. So here's what I'm thinking....more blogs, more from my heart and soul. So here goes. Let me know what you think.

This bothers me almost every day that I leave my house. I see people walking around with horrible hair color.

1.That doesn't always mean that it's a badly done color. They are often very good colors, they're just on the wrong people. As a hair colorist part of my responsibility is to make sure that you get the proper color for your skin tone as well as for your style. Let's take a look and the wrong tone first.

First, did they walk in and say " I want to look like Sophia from Golden Girls"?

Silver hair is all the rage right now but seriously, it only works with the right skin tones.

So either ask your hair colorist for their professional opinion or go to someone that you don't need to worry if they are going to give you their professional, well trained opinion.

aka me. My utmost concern is that you look the best that you can. Even if you want a color that wouldn't be best for you, more than likely, we can work out a compromise that will be even better than what you thought that you wanted.

2. Some times it is just shoddy work. Trust me, you'll know it when you see it.

Here's a before and after of a client that came to me to fix her color.

Does the picture on that left look like subtle low lights? Hmmm? No, I don't think so.

Here's a better example of subtle dimensional highlight/Lowlights

So know what you are getting yourself in to BEFORE you get in to it. Is your colorist well educated? Do you know what to expect? Did you get a thorough consultation? Do you understand why you should or should not have a certain color? Were you given options?

Call Colour:fix and schedule your free color consultation today.
